at the Old Salt Works
Celebrate Easter with your family at the Alte Saline Bad Reichenhall!
On Easter Sunday, 31 March 2024, the Easter bunny will surprise our little guests at every corner and diligently hand out sweet surprises (while stocks last).
We look forward to shining children's eyes and fun moments above and below ground. The Old Salt Works is not only impressive from the outside. It is only through the guided tours through the extensive tunnel system that you really get to know the Old Salt Works and learn fascinating information about the "white gold". Impressive tunnel systems lead deep into the mountain. Passing drive rods and deflection levers, you reach popular highlights such as the salt grotto (spring building grotto), the Karl Theodor pump (beating heart of Bad Reichenhall) and the relief of Elector Karl Theodor. The main well shaft takes you up to the Salt Museum.

Due to corrosion damage, water is seeping into the building through the roof. This circumstance now requires renovation work on the roof. Scaffolding and a crane were erected in front of the Old Salt Works for this work. The rehabilitation activities will continue until the end of August.
Our guests can easily access the guided tour of the “Queller” as well as the salt museum and salt shop via the main portal in the middle of the building. As usual, the guided tours take place daily and without interruptions.
We recommend our guests wear a medical mask in the Old Salt Works&NBS; as well as during the tour and - wherever possible - to keep a distance of 1.5 metres from other guests. You can find further conditions of conduct in our&NBS;General Conditions of Insurance (GCI). We look forward to welcoming you as our guests.&NBS;
