House Rules/Conditions of Conduct
1 General
1.1 Payment of the admission fee constitutes acceptance of these General Terms and Conditions.
1.2 Admission is only permitted with a valid admission ticket.
1.3 Persons up to 13 years of age are only admitted if accompanied by an adult supervisor.
Between 14 and 16 years of age, this group of persons must present written permission from their legal guardian in text form upon entry (one signature is sufficient). Groups of young people between 14 and 16 years of age of more than 4 young people also require the accompaniment of an adult supervisor.
1.4 The requirements of the staff must be followed.
1.5 Animals of any kind are not allowed.
1.6 Smoking is prohibited in all buildings and in the underground area of the historic brine springs. This also applies to smoking and the consumption of cannabis; the latter also applies under the arcades of the main fountain house and in the area in front of the building. Litter and cigarettes outside the buildings must be placed in the appropriate receptacles/ashtrays.
1.7 Visitors who are under the influence of medication, drugs or alcohol will be barred from entering by the supervisor. The supervisor and also tour guides may exclude guests who endanger themselves or other guests, or who disregard the house rules, from the tour. In such cases, the entrance fee will not be refunded.
2. parking
The Brunnhaus der Alten Saline does not have its own car park. Parking spaces are available in the side yards of the Alte Saline. These are managed by Kurbau GmbH.
3. cloakroom
3.1 Hats, sticks, umbrellas, rucksacks, backpacks and other containers and bulky items may not be taken underground. They can be stored in the lockers, but no liability is assumed for the items brought in.
3.2 Lockers are available for valuables; no liability is assumed for the items brought in.
3.3 Prams cannot be taken underground. Children may not be carried in carriers on the back.
4 Guided tour
4.1 The group size of each guided tour is limited to 40 persons. Guided tours may only be conducted in the company of a trained tour guide. A minimum of 2 persons is required for a guided tour.
4.2 Persons who push their way into queues or generally violate the safety rules may be excluded from the tour or assigned to a later tour. In this case, there is no entitlement to a refund of the entrance fee.
4.3 Persons with disabilities or limited mobility
Due to the special conditions (low vaults, stairs), persons with disabilities or limited mobility may only take part in the guided tour after consultation with the supervisor. The attendants must be able to remove the person from the guided tour area in problematic situations. The supervisor may refuse admission if it is evident that the guided tour would involve an increased risk for the person. In this case, the admission fee paid (and, if applicable, the companion's fee if the latter also waives the visit) will be refunded with the supervisor's signature. Persons suffering from claustrophobia are unfortunately not permitted to take part in the guided tour.
5. safety rules
5.1 During the tour, the instructions of the supervisory staff must be followed at all times.
5.2 It is absolutely necessary to stay with the group at all times and never to set off independently on the guided tour route. Guests are allowed to stay on their own in the museum area. If a visitor is unable to continue the visitor tour, he/she must report to the tour guide, who will then arrange for him/her to be picked up.
5.3 It is the sole responsibility of the parents (or the person in charge) to assess whether their child or the person in charge can participate in the tour. Otherwise, the provisions of point 4.3 apply).
5.4 Barriers may only be opened by the tour guide.
5.5 Touching and operating machine parts and operating equipment is strictly prohibited. Risk of injury.
5.6 The guide path may be damp and slippery. Use handrails and take care not to trip.
6. photography
Filming is prohibited during the entire tour of the Old Salt Works for safety reasons (risk of tripping). Photography is generally permitted, but may be prohibited if it jeopardises the safety of visitors.
7. limitation of liability
The liability of the Alte Saline and the persons commissioned by it is limited in such a way that the Alte Saline is liable
1) in the full amount of the damage only in the case of intent or gross negligence on the part of its organs or senior employees,
2) on the merits, in the event of any culpable breach of material contractual obligations (essential contractual obligations are those contractual obligations whose fulfilment is essential for the proper execution of the contract and on whose compliance the visitor regularly relies and may rely)
3) outside of such obligations, on the merits only for intent and gross negligence of simple vicarious agents,
4) as regards the amount, Alte Saline shall only be liable in cases 2. and 3. for compensation for typically foreseeable damage.
The limitations of liability in clause 7 shall not apply insofar as injury to body, limb and life is concerned.
